Der Burghügel

The Burghügel in Wagrain is a historic site that offers stunning views of the surrounding area. A short but worthwhile climb takes you to the ruins of the former castle, where you can learn more about the history of the region.

The hill is not only a wonderful place for history buffs, but also a perfect place for picnics and relaxing hours in nature. The playground on the castle hill with a motor skills park and giant swing offers children variety and fun - surrounded by a large meadow and shady trees, ideal for family outings and adventures.

Pflegerschlössl & Kneipp facility

The Pflegerschlössl in Wagrain shines in new splendor after extensive renovations. Today it houses the Silent Night Museum, which sheds light on the history of the world-famous Christmas carol "Silent Night". It particularly commemorates the composer Joseph Mohr, who worked in Wagrain. The exhibitions provide exciting insights into the history of the song's creation and the cultural development of the region.

The Pflegerschlössl is also closely linked to the writer Karl Heinrich Waggerl. His house, now also a museum, is part of the cultural walk through Wagrain and combines tradition and modern museum work in a harmonious way.

Right next to the Pflegerschlössl, a lovingly designed Kneipp facility invites you to cool off in refreshment - ideal after a hike through nature. This place offers a successful combination of history, nature and relaxation, which exudes a special calm and atmosphere.
